Joel “Jody” Rogers, age 82, of Corsicana passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Twilight Nursing Home in Corsicana. He was born on March 6, 1930 in Athens, Texas to parents, Steve and Pauline Rogers.Jody Rogers was greatly loved by his three living children Vicky, Brenda and Mike. They recognized the home he provided in their youth as a very safe place to be, under his watchful eye. Jody worked for 42 years at Oil City Iron Works. He passed his work ethics along to his kids and they became successful in their own lives under his guidance. Jody coached little league baseball at BB Field for many years.
